On 30 July 2013, the Secretary General of AUME, Mariano Casado, denounced, at a press conference, the recent arrests of several of AUME’s members. Following to the detention of AUME’s President, Jorge Bravo, in April 2013 for 31 days, three other representatives of AUME were arrested, namely José Manuel Esnaola, Cádiz, Teresa Franco, Secretary of Women, and Jose Salazar, Murcia.
